The Big Horn Hospital

Auxiliary has been in existence since before the current hospital opened in 1959. It began with a group of women volunteers who sewed and mended for the hospital. While our duties have changed over the years, our mission still remains unchanged.

Through the generosity of the Gladys E. Knowles Trust and community member contributions, the Auxiliary has provided:

  • Contributions to construction and renovation projects to update the hospital (interior/exterior)
  • Items that support the health and well-being of patients, staff, and community members
  • Scholarships to promote Big Horn County graduates pursuing post high school medical careers
